A choice of Hiking Maps for the British Isles
OS Maps
Most people’s first thought for a UK hiking map is from the nation’s mapping agency, the Ordnance Survey, or ‘OS’. Their maps have bright colours and very rich detail, they are recommended for all users.

Harvey Maps
Many dedicated walkers, well known hikers and mountaineers in the public eye, prefer maps from the Scottish Mapping Company ‘Harvey Maps’. These are maps that are researched by themselves and exceedingly accurate, they also have only the map information on them that outdoor users need. (Their tagline is “Made by Walkers for Walkers’!)
